About the Organization: The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) is dedicated to providing immediate, effective, and comprehensive employment services to people with recent criminal convictions. CEO’s programs help participants regain the skills and confidence needed for successful transitions to stable, productive lives. CEO serves more than 5,000 participants a year, giving them the opportunity to support themselves and their families, remain crime-free, and contribute positively to their communities.

Headquartered in New York City, CEO currently operates in 21 cities across eight states. In 2016, CEO embarked on a five-year strategic plan to serve 11,000 participants annually. CEO has gained support to expand its programs through government, nonprofit, and private organizations, including the Federal Social Innovation Fund, Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, Robin Hood Foundation, James Irvine Foundation, Tipping Point Community, and Google.org, among many others.

Position Overview: CEO is seeking to hire an intern to support the Talent Development unit in conducting research on performance management industry standards to improve CEO's 90 day review process and increasing visibility of learning and development opportunities to CEO's employees. During the internship, the candidate is expected to engage in developmental and skill-building opportunities. The role will report to the Senior Associate, Talent Development and support the broader Employee Experience department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Research, gather, compile and distribute data related to 90-day review best practices and industry standards; engage in conversations related to action-planning around the research.
•Develop a presentation of recommendations for the innovation of CEO's 90 day review process.
•Support with the technical revamp of the performance management process using an internal platform.
•Support with preparation and follow-up tasks related to meetings, partnerships and communications with key internal stakeholders involved in the project
•Develop internal written communications to staff related to learning and development opportunities
•Engage in developmental opportunities, such as Insights, affinity groups and meet and greets with departments of interest
