About the Organization: Individuals from all over New York City come to Animal Care Centers every day of the week for reasons as diverse as reclaiming lost pets, adopting new furry family members, and getting resources to help them keep their pets in homes.

We strive to find loving homes for homeless and abandoned cats, dogs, and rabbits, both by adopting animals directly to the public and by partnering with more than 200 dedicated animal placement organizations (our New Hope partners). Our field services division responds to calls from the public to help keep NYC communities safe and rescue animals in need, and we have facilities in all five boroughs. Join us in our mission to end animal homelessness in NYC!

Position Overview: The Animal Care Centers of NYC is seeking a development intern to assist in our gift processing, donor communications, and day-to-day administrative duties. The role will have opportunities for collaborative work as well as independent projects so time management is a must!

In addition to daily development work, ACC will enlist the intern to improve the hygiene of our database. We need someone who can help to reconcile duplicate constituent records, update the coding on some donations, and make sure that constituent files are up to date with accurate contact information. This will require attention to detail and will be an ongoing project over the course of the internship.

● Support the Development associate in gift recording
● Additional tasks as needed by the Director of Development
