Nothing really, I genuinely enjoyed the mentorship, career experience, and networking opportunities at Baker Tilly!

Advice

Come in ready to learn! The more effort you put into the internship the more you get out. Really make an effort to engage with everyone in your practice and get to know them! If you don't know how to do something, just ask questions. They know you're an intern and that you are learning, they expect you to have questions!

What I liked

I aspired to become an Audit Intern at Baker Tilly for the summer of 2024 due to several compelling reasons. First and foremost, the firm's prominent position as one of the big 10 public accounting firms promised invaluable learning experiences. Moreover, the welcoming and friendly demeanor of the interviewer instantly put me at ease during the interview process, dispelling any feelings of nervousness or intimidation. Additionally, the appealing factor of a conveniently located office near my home heightened my desire to work there, especially with the hope of a potential return offer. Lastly, Baker Tilly's strong reputation as a stellar company further solidified my enthusiasm for the opportunity.

One valuable piece of advice I can offer from my experience is that when pursuing internship opportunities, prioritize organizations like Baker Tilly that not only align with your career goals, such as being a top-tier accounting firm but also create a welcoming and comfortable interview environment.
